Most lenders and bank will push you to take a loan for a much higher amount than what you need. They obviously benefit more when you borrow more. This is why you need to pay as much as you can as the down payment and borrow as little as possible from the bank. You also need to ensure you don’t apply for too small a loan. Registration chargers and other legal work costs quite a bit so does furniture and putting the finishing touches on a home before you move in or rent it out. If you borrow too little, you’ll end up stuck with an unfinished house for much longer than necessary.
