This engineering college in Delhi was established in 1961. Set up as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was subsequently an Institution of National Importance under the "Foundations of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963" and was renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi". It is also known as the top engineering college in Delhi. It was then made a Deemed University, with abilities to choose its scholarly strategy, to direct its assessments, and to grant its degrees. It placed 2nd for engineering by NIRF. You can opt for either, regular or part-time education. You can stay at an on-campus hostel for the full IIT experience or you can look for PGs or rent a place with your classmates. There Are many PGs and hostels in Jia Sarai and Katwaria Sarai. It is all meant for GATE, IES, IAS aspirants since IIT Delhi is located at a central place Hauz Khas which is in a prime location in South Delhi. 2. DTU - Delhi Technological University
This college was established in 1941. Delhi Technological University was formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering. Recently, the University was given an “A” grade by NAAC and also accorded 12-B status by the University Grant Commission (UGC). It was ranked as No.1 in Times Engineering Ranking. DTU offers a total of 70 courses across 8 streams. It is one of the best B.Tech colleges in Delhi. It is located in Rohini, Delhi. And offers accommodation on campus and around DTU in hostels and guest stays. Every hostel has everything you’d need, a recreation room, reading room, LAN/internet connection. 3. IIT Delhi - Indraprastha Institute of Technology
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi or IIIT D) is a state-level organization that was set up in 2008 with its first batch of 60 students. It is located in Okhla and it is affirmed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The foundation is additionally a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and licensed by the NAAC with Grade 'A'.
IIIT Delhi is financed by the Government of Delhi and it guarantees regulatory and scholastic independence. On campus, there are 24 student-driven clubs to encourage the active participation of students in various extracurricular and sports activities. The campus is over 25 acres, with 10 lecture halls and eight research labs. For accommodation, there are three hostels, two for the boys and another for the girls. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) was established as the first engineering college for women only. The University is recognised by the UGC and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The University offers B.Tech, BArch, BBA, MTech, MPlan, and MCA programmes. It’s known for its international conferences, workshops and seminars. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women has an amazing infrastructure and offers all the facilities possible to students, including accommodation facilities, a Wi-Fi facility, well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms and a central library. 5. NIT Delhi - National Institute of Technology, Delhi
This university was established not so long ago in 2010 through the provision of an Act of the parliament of the government of India and come a long way since. It is an autonomous institute of national importance and among one of the 30 NITs in our country.
It offers undergraduate courses in electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering computer science and engineering. And offers postgraduate programmes in electronics and communication engineering, applied sciences, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering. The many companies that come to this institute for placements include Infosys, Reliance, Samsung and many more.
Accommodation is available for M.Tech for two years maximum. You can rent places near the institute or stay at hostels/PGs located at Tajpur, Asola, Molarband, Tughlakabad and Devil.
6. Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology
Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is a self-financed educational institution. It is a private engineering college and it is located in Janakpuri. It is also known as MSIT and was established in 1971. Its popular courses include B.E/B.Tech Many of the companies that come here include Deloitte, Amazon, IBM India, British Telecom, Wipro, Aditya Birla Insurance, Reliance Jio and many others. You can either stay at the on-campus hostel or you can stay at the Kapoor hostel or Aasha hostel near campus or even opt for a PG or rent a home at nearby localities like Asalatpur Village, Possangipur, C-2 Block, A-block, and Block A 5b.
7. Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is a private institution and was established in 1999. It was developed by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society. The institute is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education and it is associated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. 8. NSUT East Campus
NSUIT East Campus also formerly known as Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (AIACTR), is located in New Delhi and it is one of the top public engineering colleges in Delhi NCR. Established in 2001, the institute is affiliated to GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Indraprastha University), Delhi and is approved by AICTE.
The institute is famous for offering technical courses at UG and PG level. The courses offered are B.Tech. and M.Tech. admission to both of the courses is based on National level Entrance Exams i.e. JEE Main and GATE respectively. The selection will be based on IPU-CET counselling. Candidates can apply online. Delhi Technological University DTU, formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering DCE, it is a state university in New Delhi, India. Having been established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic, in 1952, it started giving degrees after being affiliated with the University of Delhi. This institute has been under the Government of Delhi since 1963 and it has been affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009.
