Bangalore East is a quiet part of town, it’s close to the hustle and bustle of MG road as well as that of Indiranagar but yet offers you peace and serenity. For those days when you don’t want to leave the neighbourhood for a drink, try one of these great bars that are right around the corner. These bars, much like the neighbourhood are all warm and friendly places that you’ll soon fall in love with.
Dolphin’s Bar
This is one for the old timers in the locality. In Frazer town, Dolphin’s is tucked away under the Wheeler Road flyover and has been around for much longer than the said flyover. Non-descript on the outside, inside the bar is fuss-free, but has everything a good bar should. The real winner at Dolphin Bar has always been and will always be the food! The pork dishes here are the stuff people rave about, you’ll always get a table and parking is never an issue.
Sherlock Holmes
One of the oldest pubs in town, Sherlocksis now back with a massive revamp. From being the dingy but loved neighbourhood bar its now become a major nightlife spot on this side of town. You can relax on the bright and shiny balcony complete with fairy lights, or on the upper deck mostly used for private parties and dancing. The music ranges from retro to dance, but if you ask nicely the DJ will play your jam. They have interesting cocktails on menu, and you might not get a table over the weekends, but they do offer valet parking which is a huge bonus. Watsons

The newest amongst the lot is Watsons, we’re not counting the revamped Sherlocks. The location, the view, the food, the music and the interiors have perfectly blended together to make it more than a great neighbourhood pub. It’s become so popular over the years that you’ll find people travelling quite a bit just to come here to relax. During the weekends it’s almost impossible to get a table so get here early, on the bright side, parking is never an issue.

This pub has been around for aeons and is still the stuff of secrets. Enter the fifth floor where it’s located and you’ll get a view overlooking Cooke Town and Jai Bharath Nagar. This is a quiet place and the crowd is more here for the Country music and other retro tunes that play in the background. The small dance floor has disco lights that take you back to an era you wish you were a part of. If you’re there to just enjoy a drink, the open-air section is where you should go. Parking is not a problem and this place is never overcrowded, a perfect place for a quiet drink.
Toit
Toit Brewpub, Binnamangala stage 1, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, and Karnataka is a popular fun spot. The place is set in a posh area for the city and is accessible enough for bikes and cars alike. The decor of the place is amicable and offers a luxe welcoming vibe. The place offers a good amount of ventilation and natural lighting, but at night the setup takes more of a mysterious vibe. The most popular dishes on their menu are Veggie Attack, Cheesy Potato Skins, Mushroom Bites, Chicken Piccata, Fire Shots and Baked Pizza.
