YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme:

YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme is a state government initiative launched in Andhra Pradesh to provide affordable housing to the homeless and those living in vulnerable conditions. The scheme is a part of the larger Navaratnalu program launched by the Andhra Pradesh government and aims to provide a house to every family in the state by 2024.

The YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme provides financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries to construct their own homes. The scheme provides a subsidy of up to Rs. 1.5 lakhs for the construction of homes on their own land, and up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs for the construction of homes on government land.

Energy-efficient homes under YSR Housing Scheme:

Key details about the YSR Housing Scheme

During the first state budget of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government, finance minister B. Rahendranath Reddy announced that Rs. 2280 crores will be allocated for the YSR housing schemes. The Government was planning to work with the top real estate developers to provide the material needed for the construction at a lower rate to make the houses as affordable as possible.  

• The first jagan housing scheme list will be out in 2023 as the work had to be stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 
• The Government will build over 15 lakh houses in 13 different districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

• The Government has also announced a monetary package of over Rs. 32,000 crores to boost infrastructure around YSR housing scheme colonies. These funds will be used to build a state-of-the-art primary school, parks, libraries, etc.  

Jagan Housing Scheme Eligibility List

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has set a particular aim to benefit from the Jagan housing scheme, and thus they have strict criteria for eligibility. The basic eligibility criteria for all the people who wish to take advantage of the housing scheme is as follows:

• The applicants must be permanent residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
• They must not own a house of their own or any piece of land in the state/city.
