It has been passed on from the great grandparents to my grandfather. He has sold the farmland without the permission of legal heirs. Is it a correct method? Is their any provision in the constitution that the ancestors farmland should be sold with all the legal heirs permission?

As per Indian laws, ancestral property cannot be sold without obtaining consent from other family members. If your grandfather sold the ancestral property without the consent of all legal heirs, it may be challenged. The members of the family can file a regular civil suit to declare the sale deed null and void in court. Therefore, it is generally not considered a correct method to sell ancestral property without the agreement of all heirs.
