Tax receipts are very important and you need to save it somewhere or print it out if needed. iPhone users often have issues in finding files that they have recently downloaded. Since I have an iPhone too, I can tell you how to get the files.
Usually before downloading I am given the option to choose where to download it. I automatically select the documents folder and find the downloaded file there only. If you fail to remember, I hope you know what type of a file it is so just go to the specific app that can open it and try to find the file there. For example, if it is a pdf, open your pdf app(like Adobe Acrobat) and get it there. If all these fails, go to
Files app which is a blue folder on the white background
You can see the tax receipt in the recent section. It may take a few seconds to appear so be patient.
Also look at the sub folders and I hope you will get it.
