It is really disheartening to hear this. All of the residents must be given equal rights. I will suggest you have a talk with the owner and point out these partialities precisely. Also, I would ask you to go through your rent agreement and look for any related clauses. If the agreement states anything as such, you have no option but to abide by the rules. If not, you can take some legal action. Claim your rights with NoBroker's legal team's aid
