As far as I know, SC/ST land cannot be sold without permission. Since SC/ST are minors they can be exploited easily. As per the law, ‘"The reason for such general restrictions is not only to safeguard the interest of the members of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, but also to see that they are not being exploited by the members of non-Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.”

So, even if you are a Christian minority, you cannot buy SC/ST land so easily. If you want to buy, you need to visit the District Commissioner's office and if the District Commissioner grants permission only then you can buy SC.ST land. But the process is pretty hefty. I hope you find this helpful.
