Hey,

As per the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, you can build farmhouses on agricultural land, of size not exceeding 10 percent of the landholding. Plus, the farmhouse needs to be for self-use only or can be used for residential purposes of family members, servants, or dependents. Farmers can use it for the purpose of storing agricultural products, tethering cattle, or agricultural operations. If you need to use it for any other purpose, then you’ll have to convert it first.

I hope this helps.
