If you want to cancel a property deal you can definitely go for it. You can cancel the deal even after paying the registration charges and stamp duty. As far as I know, you will get 98% of the stamp duty charges if you cancel the deal. However, you will not get a refund on registration charges. About GST, it totally depends if the developer wants to refund you the money or not. If he has deposited the amount to the Government there is a high chance that you won't get your refundable GST.
It also depends on the developer when it comes to refunding your money which you have paid during downpayment . You might get some portion of the money you have down payment while canceling the deal.
