What is the process for Aadhaar for NRI?

You are required to submit your biometric data after gathering and validating all of the required documentation. Aadhaar card registration mainly asks for biometric identification, which is connected to the data gathered from the papers. The following are the steps in the biometric identification procedure:

1) You must submit the fingerprints from all 10 fingers. The prints are kept in the government’s system. This is the first and most crucial step to create a unique ID.

2) Scanning the IRIS is the next step in the process of making a unique and personal ID. You have to do this process at the enrollment centre just after the fingerprint authentication.

3) Saving pictures is not permitted by government authorities. They will capture your photo in passport size through a webcam. This image is then printed on the cards.

4) Creating and sending out an Aadhaar card requires about 90 days. This is the amount of time needed to gather and connect each biometric and other information.

How to get Aadhar card for NRI:

• Visit your nearest Addhar Kendra centre or fix an appointment online.

• Take important documents such as your Indian Passport.

• Fill out the information in the enrollment form and also mention your Email ID since it is mandatory to mention the Email ID for an NRI.

• Read the declaration and sign the NRI enrollment form carefully.

• Tell the operator to enrol you as NRI.

• Submit your Passport as Identity Proof.

• You can use  IndianPassport for Proof of Address and Date of Birth proof or give some other valid document/s.

• You need to complete the biometric process.

• Before the submission of details check all the information once again.

• Take the acknowledgement receipt/ enrolment slip which contains 12 digit enrolment ID, Date, and Time Stamp.

Aadhar card eligibility NRI: Important Documents to Submit

• Valid Indian Passport.

• If the passport doesn't have an Indian address, then the individual must submit UIDAI approved PoA documents as Address Proof.

• You can find the Revised enrolment form with a modified declaration for NRI in Annexure.

• You need to ensure that the procedure is compiled as per the enrolment of NRI since you will need the approval of the CEO, UIDAI.
