Can wallpaper be reused?

A few months ago while sitting in my living room, I realised that it needed some redecoration. I remembered that I had some old wallpaper from a previous renovation on my basement wall. I thought why not reuse the design of the wallpaper now, especially because the design was too beautiful to be thrown away like that. Here is a step by step process of what I found online and followed.

• As mentioned, I started by carefully removing the wall covering. I removed the adhesive with a wallpaper scraper and a small amount of water. You must take your time and carefully peel it off to prevent damaging it, even though it might be a little tricky. Most of it fell off in big, undamaged chunks as I was scraping. 

• After the wallpaper was taken down, I spread it out on a clean surface to make sure there were no tears or creases. 

• There were just a few minor areas that needed some care. I filled in those gaps with a small amount of wallpaper paste and let it dry fully.

• I decided to use my wallpaper to line the inside of my bookshelves instead of reattaching it to the walls. So, I measured the wallpaper and the shelves, and then cut the wallpaper to fit the shelf. 

• It was pretty simple to apply- all I needed was some spray glue to provide a smooth surface. It felt amazing to give something I already had fresh life, and the outcome was so beautiful.
