Well, from what I know you can clean house during Amavasya. Though certain beliefs state that you cannot clean your house during this time. I, too, had the same query, “can we clean house on Amavasya?” To clear my doubt, I asked a Vastu expert about the same. He told me that cleaning the house in Amavasya is a good thing. Besides that, he also gave me a few tips. 

What are the Amavasya House Cleaning Tips?

According to the Vastu expert, Amavasya is a great time to harness positive energy and dispel the negative energy from the house. Here are a few tips provided by the Vastu expert.

The Vastu expert asked me to declutter and clean the house properly. He also suggested that I should remove all unnecessary items and maintain cleanliness. A clutter-free home makes it easier for good energy to flow through and creates a peaceful living area.

Apart from this cleaning tip, I was also suggested about the below-given 2 tips that needs to followed during Amavasya,

• The next tip was about illuminating the house by lighting lamps during Amavasya. This helps to dispel the darkness and negativity and attract positive energy. 

• He also suggested me to pray to Lord Hanuman and chant Hanuman Chalisa. He said this would help protect me from bad spirits and improve my health.

• Cleaning on Amavasya symbolises inner purification. It offers a chance to clear the clutter from our mental environments. It helps to create space for clarity and regeneration.

• You should get up before sunrise, clean the house, and take a bath in order to get rid of sadness and misfortune. By doing this, you can obtain happiness and good fortune. 

The act of cleaning during this lunar phase carries great symbolism in diverse communities all across the world, from bringing prosperity to encouraging self-reflection.
