• Vastu experts advise that the west, north, and northeast directions are the best places in the home to install lord Ganesh's idols or images at home. 

• When placing lord ganesh idols at home, you also have to consider the energies of different places. You cannot place in in spaces which store too much negative energy such as store rooms or below staircases.

• You also shouldn’t keep it in places like your bedroom, bathroom or garage since its considered inauspicious.

• Vacant areas in the home are also considered unlucky to place any god idol.

Where to Place Ganesha Idol in Home?

• Since Lord Shiva, the father of Ganesha, is said to reside in the north direction, all Ganpati pictures in the house should face North.

• You should ideally place the Ganesha murti at the front entrance, facing inward.

• Images of Lord Ganesha should be placed facing home's main entrance.

  : A yellow or gold ganesha idol represents knowledge, wisdom and happiness.
