Can We Make Back Dated Rent Agreement?

Hi, I had a verbal agreement of rent with the owner of my house. But I was in need of a rental agreement on paper. I informed the owner of the house about that and asked him can I make rent agreement from back date? He agreed to it.

The owner of my house told me that nowadays, stamp papers have come with dates. So, whichever date I enter won't matter as the stamp will have the current date. He also told me about the steps that I need to follow to back date a rent agreement. 

• A bond paper of Rs. 100 needs to be purchased for the current date. 

• He told me to Incorporate a clause into the agreement, treating it as effective from a prior date.

• Approve the terms and conditions. 

• Both parties need to sign the agreement to make it valid.

I recently learnt that both back dating and front dating are allowed while drafting a rent agreement but only if a proper procedure is followed. I wanted my rent agreement to end by November but the owner said since it is going to be an 11 month rent agreement, the end month will be December instead of November.
