Hey Pal,

Dakshina Murthy, as the name itself suggests, must be kept or hung on south facing walls only. We have kept a big DakshinaMurthy Photo in our living room and we perform the rudra abhishekam puja daily. I would suggest you keep this photo in the puja room or maybe the living room as well but personally I believe it is better to avoid keeping the photo in your bedroom.
