When I decided to transfer the ownership of my MHADA flat, I was unsure about the MHADA transfer fees. It seemed like a simple process at first, but as I got into it, I realised there were a few hidden costs involved. To make sure everything was done right, I called in a professional to help me with the transfer. They explained everything clearly, and that’s when I understood the entire process better. I learned that these charges depends on the income group.

What are the MHADA Transfer Charges?

The MHADA transfer fees include a basic charge for processing the transfer of ownership. This fee can vary depending on factors like the type of transfer and location. I completely agree with Punam’s answer. Income groups are used to categorise the MHADA transfer costs. The fee for the Low-Income Group is Rs. 45 per square foot, with a maximum of Rs. 15,000 per year. The price for the Middle-Income Group is Rs. 55 per square foot, with a Rs. 25,000 upper limit. Finally, the pricing for the High-Income Group is Rs. 60 per square foot, with a maximum fee of Rs. 35,000.

  • On top of that, there are additional MHADA name transfer fees. These fees cover the cost of changing the name on the ownership papers, which is required for the process.

  • I needed to submit documents like identity proofs, sale agreements, and the original MHADA allotment letter. The professional made sure all the documents were in order to avoid delays.

I hope this helps!
