Property Rates: In mid-segment locations of Delhi, the average price per square foot ranges from anywhere between Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,500, whereas in high-end locations, it exceeds Rs 13,000 per square foot. However, the most expensive real estate in Mumbai in 2024 is in neighbourhoods like Juhu and Bandra (east and west). In these regions, the average price per square foot ranges from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 55,000.
Career Opportunities: Delhi is home to renowned educational institutions like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and IIT Delhi. While some schools and colleges have high fees, there are also options with more affordable tuition costs. Mumbai also has top institutions like IIT Bombay, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and St. Xavier’s College, but education can be costlier, especially in private schools and colleges.
Weather Comparison: Mumbai’s weather is mostly hot, with heavy rains during the monsoon. It can be tough dealing with humidity. On the other hand, Delhi has more extreme weather. Summers are really hot, and winters can be freezing with thick fog.
Traffic Situation: Mumbai residents depend on its local train system, buses, cabs, and auto rickshaws to get around the city, which makes it simple and reasonably priced. In contrast, Delhi has an extensive metro system and buses that efficiently connect the city's various neighbourhoods.
