Does BMRDA issue occupancy certificate?

From what I know, OC and CC are typically not granted for BMRDA flats. Because the BMRDA authorisation solely stands as a legitimate alternative for them. The OC was only recently introduced for BBMP and BDA sites. It was maybe 3 years ago, to my understanding. The BMRDA approval is enough to move forward with the sale agreement and registration of a flat. The authority makes sure that other legitimate information is correct and in place as per the property standards.

In order to proceed with the developmental activity, a BMRDA request could be submitted. And a construction order will be issued after the criteria are met. This must fulfil the OC's requirements.

What is the importance of BMRDA?

The Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) is an independent agency established by the Government of Karnataka under the BMRDA Act 1985. It is to plan, coordinate, and oversee the correct and organised progress of the places within the Bangalore Metropolitan Region (BMR). It consists of the Ramanagara district, the rural district of Bangalore, and the urban district of Bangalore.

Even when the construction plans are authorised, OCs are frequently rejected because of additional issues. The Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972 specifies that getting an OC is a necessity. According to the laws, a property cannot be occupied by anyone until the constructor has received an occupancy certificate from the appropriate government. There are lots of instances of builders disappearing before providing OCs and legitimate water connections to residential homes.

You are now aware of whether can you get a BMRDA occupancy certificate or not.
