Before buying a property in Bangalore, I selected 2 localities: Electronic city and Whitefield. However, I was in a dilemma about which is better Whitefield or Electronic City. On researching a lot, I discovered a few points of difference to help me with this dilemma.
Electronic City Vs Whitefield:
Factors | Whitefield | Electronic City |
Rental and capital values |
Whitefield is known for having more expensive rentals; a two-bedroom apartment there typically costs around Rs 20,000 per month. |
In Electronic City, a comparable unit typically rents for about Rs 15,000 per month, making it a more cost-effective choice. |
Connectivity |
Whitefield Road offers good connectivity but suffers occasional traffic jams. Anticipated Namma Metro expansion may raise real estate prices. |
Electronic City boasts excellent connectivity via BMTC buses, Bannerghatta Road, NICE Road, and a dedicated Yellow Line metro station. |
Ultimately, the best area to live depends on factors such as proximity to work, lifestyle preferences, budget, and individual priorities. I am planning to opt for buying a 2BHK apartment in Electronic City as it is well within my budget, and is an affordable option in comparison to Whitefield.
