  • PAN Card or Form 60 (If the customer does not have a PAN Card)

One of my NRI friends opted for the HDFC NRI home loan. She told me that she was required to submit the HDFC NRI home loan documents checklist for the approval of the home loan. 

What are the HDFC Home Loan Documents for NRI?

She informed that being a salaried NRI, she was asked to provide the following NRI home loan documents HDFC;

  • Completed and signed NRI loan application form along with the addendum. 

  • A passport-sized photo of each applicant and/or co-applicant must be attached to the application form and self-attested. When submitting a digital loan application, self-attestation is not required. 

  • KYC records

  • Each applicant must provide a copy of their passport.  

  • A copy of each applicant's address proof, showing their address in India and abroad.

  • A letter or copy of the visa stamped on the passport. (Last visit information will be emphasised)

  • A copy of a current work permit or VISA 

  • A copy of the employment contract 

  • PIO/OCI cards for nationals living abroad 

  • A copy of your salary slip from the last three to six months.

  • Bank statement for the previous six months' NRE/NRO accounts for the previous six months (in India)

  • The most recent six-month bank statement that displays the repayment history of any outstanding loans 

  • Any further proof of repayment ability 

  • Copy of the most recent job agreement.

  • A six-month bank statement for the foreign bank account. (paying rent and salary credits will be highlighted)

  • CV and/or brief profile of the applicant and/or co-applicant

  • A recent income tax return copy (Form W 2 in the US, P60 in the UK), if any 

  • Report from Credit Bureau Credit

  • A cheque for processing fee from NRE/NRO account payable to "HDFC BANK LTD".

  • Details of the local point of contact (as per the annexure).

  • In the event that the documents are not in English, an embassy-attested English translation of the original should be provided.
