• Remove Excess Putty: After this, they removed excess putty before it dried using a plastic scraper and a damp cloth. 

• Allow the Putty to Dry Before Use: Even though the putty appeared dry within minutes, they allowed it to rest for several hours before walking on it, ensuring it was fully hardened and stable.
