Let me start with how long does it take to paint 1 room. In our case, it took around 5 hours and 15 minutes. The actual painting time is around 5 to 7 hours, but the factors that affect this timing are:

• Deciding which colour you want to apply:

This process is very time-consuming if you have not selected your paint colour already. So you should choose what colour scheme you want to have in your room and instruct the painters to do so as soon as they arrive.

• Preparation:

This step takes most of the time of the painters. If the walls are in good condition, the painting process becomes easy. However, if the walls have holes, seepage or other issues, it will take around an hour just to make them so that the paint sticks well on them.

• Primer:

Priming a wall can take 2-3 hours, depending on the size of your room and the climate in your area. 

• Painting the wall:

After 3 hours of applying the primer and the coat becoming dry, the actual painting is done. The first coat of paint is then applied and left to dry. 

By now, around 5 to 6 hours have passed. So you can calculate for yourself how long does painting a room take. Also, if you want to apply a second coat, add 3 hours more.
