How many days between loan estimate and closing disclosure ?

There are many banks (private and public) where borrowers are given a mortgage loan estimate disclosure when they fill out the loan application. I think it is quite helpful. As a borrower, I want to have as much detail about my loan as possible. It will help me plan my EMI financing, loan tenure, etc. 

As the name suggests, Loan Estimate is a form that you will get when you apply for a mortgage. The form will have loan information like the amount, loan tenure, closing period, etc. 

Closing Disclosure is a document that highlights important information like costs and terms of the home mortgage loan that you are availing. 

Most banks give the lenders, Loan Estimate within three business days after receiving the application. According to law, the bank is required to give the borrower the closing disclosure, a three-day minimum before closing the mortgage loan. This will give you an opportunity to recheck all the information provided by the lender.

• Interest rate

• Monthly payment

• Closing costs

• Taxes and charges

• Basic loan information

• Estimated insurance costs

• Summaries of transactions

• Additional information about your loan
