After concrete is placed, the concrete increases in strength very quickly. The concrete slab can get its strength between a period of 3-7 days. You can keep it for a day or two more if you still want to be very sure. So, you can definitely remove the support after 14 days. Apart from this, I would also suggest that you spray water on the slab every two hours until the concrete gains the strength. This will help in curing of concrete (as the water hydrates the cement and won’t let the cement drying off as the resulting concrete is soft, almost chalky in an extreme case.) If it is dried, the concrete won’t get it’s strength.

A frequent query that comes up during construction projects is after how many days slab shuttering is removed. I have recently undergone construction project at my home, so I can clarify this subject with experience.

What is shuttering?

A slab is built in numerous processes, including formwork or shuttering, pouring concrete, curing, and lastly removing the shuttering. In order to shape and keep the concrete in place until it is strong enough to stand on its own, shuttering is used as a temporary support structure.

How many days curing for RCC slab?

The RCC slab casting time is at least 7 days following installation (28 days is best) in order to obtain the strongest finish for years to come. Controlling the rate and amount of moisture loss from concrete during cement hydration is known as curing.

After how many days slab shuttering is removed to become strong enough could vary according to the concrete mix, the environment, and the structure's needs.
