Hi Buddy,

I have been residing in Bangalore for 30 years. I am very fond of this place, its historical importance, culture, weather and so on. I have done some research and also visited a few districts of Bengaluru. Hence, I am here to provide a few facts regarding the Bangalore administrative division, like how many districts are there in Bengaluru division, the natural resources availability in its districts, and the forest cover.

How many district are there in Bengaluru division

Karnataka's capital is Bengaluru. It is one of Karnataka's administrative divisions.

Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Ramanagara, Shimoga, and Tumakuru are the districts that make up the division.

The division covers a total size of 49,936 square kilometres. According to the 2011 census, the total population was 22,523,301, making it the world's fifth-most populous sub-division.

The climate in the Bengaluru division is tropical monsoon. The Western Ghats are the source of many of the rivers in this section. Uttara Pinakini, Dakshina Pinakini, Vedavathi, Shimsha, Tungabhadra, Sharavathi, Varada, and others are important rivers in this division. Mineral reserves abound in this division. Kolar is home to gold mining. However, this mine's gold deposit is depleted. The districts of Chitradurga and Tumakuru have iron ore resources. Copper ore resources can also be found in Chitradurga.

Forests in Bangalore division:

Shivamogga district has the densest forest cover in Bengaluru Division. The urban district of Bengaluru has the least amount of forest cover. There are both evergreen and deciduous forests in this section. The Shivamogga district is bordered by the Sahyadri mountain range. Bamboo, Banyan, Tamarind, Sandalwood, Dindiga, Teak, Jali, Mango, and Neem trees grow in these woodlands. Halurameshwara Gudda in the Chitradurga district is the highest mountain in this division. Kavaledurga, Chandragutti, Kodachadri, and Nandidurga are some of the other well-known mountains.
