I have lived in Pune for almost 8 years. The Pune City Taluka is the most populous taluka in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. As specified by the State of Maharashtra, this taluka is the administrative unit for the City of Pune. Pune is a district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Pune District is divided into 14 Talukas, 13 Panchayat Samitis (Blocks), 2 Municipal Corporations, 11 Municipal Councils, 3 Cantonment Boards, and 1,844 villages on an administrative level. The talukas are Junnar taluka, Ambegaon taluka, Khed taluka, Maval taluka, Mulshi taluka, Velhe taluka, Bhor taluka, Haveli taluka, Purandar taluka, Pune City taluka, Indapur taluka, Daund taluka, Baramati taluka and Shirur taluka. Pune is a district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Pune is divided into 14 sub-districts. The district has a total of 21,51,503 residences, with 13,71,531 urban and 7,79,972 rural homes.

For administrative purposes, the Pune district is divided into Tehsils, Blocks, and Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks). After the tehsil, the Block or C.D.Block is frequently the next level of the administrative region in India. It's worth noting that in some Indian states, C.D.Blocks are equivalent to tehsils. For those unfamiliar, the C.D.Block is a rural area in India designated for administration and development. A BDO is in charge of the area (Block Development Officer). A C.D.Block encompasses numerous gram panchayats, the village's local administrative entity.
