It gave us a mini heart attack when last month our electricity bill came out to be Rs. 12000 for one month. It was just crazy. We don’t even use the AC that much, how did it happen. We started evaluating everything. Among many calculations we needed to know how many watts does a fridge use. So I called my engineer friend to understand the same. He helped us understand everything about it. Let me tell you in detail what he explained.

On an average, we were told that the watts used by a fridge are around 350-780 watts. For newer models with more energy efficiency, the number can be lesser.
