From what I found, with an area of 80.96 lakh hectares, Andhra Pradesh is home to 76.21 lakh agriculture holdings. A large chunk of the state’s economy still depends on farming, especially crops like rice, cotton, and maize.

The total number of farm holdings across all categories are, marginal, small, medium, semi medium, and large category. 

About 65.39% of farmers are marginal farmers, producing only 26.68% of the total land; small farmers make up 20.88% of the total and produce 27.80% of the area; and semi-medium to big farmers, with 13.73% of the holdings, produce 41.76% of the total area. In the state of Andhra Pradesh, holdings typically have a size of 1.06 acres.

Most of the land is used for food crops, but there’s also a good portion dedicated to commercial crops like cotton. He also pointed out that the southern part of the state tends to have more fertile land compared to some northern areas, which are a bit drier.
