There have been a lot of amendments regarding the LRS charges in Telangana and a lot of people seem to be asking questions about it. Since I hail from Telangana, I can explain what it is and the latest amendments made last year. The LRS amount in Telangana got revised in 2022 so let me share everything about it next.    What is the LRS fees in Telangana?

Land regularisation refers to the policies that help to recognise land rights and provide land tenure to people living in some informal communities. To recognise it, some fees are charged and it is called LRS fees in Telangana. The LRS or the layout regularisation scheme states the charges as per the sub-registrar value and got revised recently in 2022. Let me share the chart to help you know how much amount need to pay for LRS in Telangana in detail:

Less than Rs. 3000/ sq. yard

From Rs 3,001/ sq. yard to Rs 5,000/ sq. yard

30%

From Rs. 5001/ sq. yard to 10,000/ sq. yard

40%

From Rs. 10,001/ sq. yard to 20,000/ sq. yard

50%

From 20,001/ sq. yard to 30,000/ sq. yard

60%

From 30,001/ sq. yard to 50,000/ sq. yard

80%

Above 50,000/ sq. yard

100%
  There are 2 more things to note.

  1. As per any Unapproved layout, if 10% of the space is unavailable then the fee will be based on the pro-rata open spaces charges. It will come to about 14% of the plot value and will depend on the registration date.

  2. And also no additional nala fee needs to be given if any agricultural land has been converted to non-agricultural land.
