Hi Dinesh, I saw you were asking about the electrician labour charges in India. I can tell that this is a thing which varies based on different factors. As per my experience, the labour charges in Mumbai are Rs. 280 for the primary light point. Let me share more on this below.

What is the Electrical Work Labour Rate?

I live in Mumbai, so I know the rates in the city. They are as follows:

Service

Labour Cost

Primary Light Point

Rs. 280

Secondary Light Point

Rs. 225

Domestic Light Point

Rs. 375

Half Plug Point

Rs. 220

Full Plug Point

Rs. 350

What Does Electrician Per Day Rate Depend Upon?

See, the electrician per day rate is flexible and they depend on the following things:

  1. The location: The rates charged by electricians vary from place to place.

  2. Scope of work: The particular work being done by the electrician also impacts the cost. For a complicated task, the rate would be higher.

This is all. I hope you now know the electrician rate per day.

Electrical wiring is one of the most crucial and complex components of a building. Generally, the electrician labour charges per day in India vary on a number of aspects, including the complexity of the task, location, and so on. To complete the electrical work for my new Bangalore home, I used NoBroker to hire an electrician. I therefore shared the price for that below.

What are the Electrician Charges Per Day?

A basic service charge is required for straightforward activities like repairing an outlet or installing a new light bulb. Additionally, there are additional costs associated with constructing a new electrical panel or rewiring a whole property.

The rates may be higher in locations with a higher cost of living or where electricians are in great demand, which can also have an impact on the price. Let’s check out the installation charges that NoBroker took for me below:

Description Electrician Rate Per Day

Door Bell Installation

Rs 89

Fan Installation

Rs 119

AC Switchbox Installation

Rs 289

Geyser Installation

Rs 429

Tube Light Installation

Rs 99

Decorative Light and Bed Lamp Installation

Rs 149

TV Installation

Rs 429

Sub Meter Installation

Rs 249

Stabilizer Installation

Rs 149

Mini Home Theater Installation

Rs 249

RO Installation

Rs 349

The price of the materials and any required permissions may also be charged in addition to the other fees. To avoid any misunderstandings or additional fees down the road, it is best to always request a breakdown of the cost of electrician per day, including labour, materials, and any additional charges.

The electrician labour charges per day are not fixed in India, so electricians mention the rate as per their will. We needed to get some electrical work done in our new house, so we needed to know about this charge. I researched online to know how much does an electrician cost but it was of no use. I learned that there are different charges for different states. In fact, the charges mostly depend on the kind of work an electrician does. So I researched the electrician charge for works in general rather than electrician charges per day. Let me share the list and I hope you will be able to get an idea about their rate.

What is the electrician per day cost India?

On average, it is believed that the rate of an electrician per day is Rs 95.65. But this amount cannot be believed to be honest. When we asked a local electrician, he said he would charge Rs 300 just to fix a light. When I searched for an electrician service online, I learned that they would do the work for just Rs 210. But yes, I would suggest you first try to know how much does a residential electrician charge by asking a local electrician, and then opt for online services. Here are some of the electricians’ rates I know of-

The charge for installing the primary light point
City  Labour Charge of the Electrician

Mumbai

Rs. 250/-

Pune

Rs. 225/-

Delhi NCR

Rs. 250/-

Bengaluru

Rs. 250/-

Surat

Rs. 200/-

Vadodara

Rs. 200/-

Ahmedabad

Rs. 200/-

Hyderabad

Rs. 250/-

For installing a secondary Light Point-
City  Labour Charge of the Electrician

Mumbai

Rs. 175/-

Pune

Rs.170/-

Delhi NCR

Rs. 175/-

Bengaluru

Rs. 180/-

Surat

Rs. 170/-

Vadodara

Rs. 170/-

Ahmedabad

Rs. 170/-

Hyderabad

Rs. 175/-

I did not take any stress so I opted for NoBroker’s electrician service and they are so affordable. Their services starts from Rs 89 onwards. I got 5 electrical works done by them from installing to repairing and more and it cost me only Rs 1439.

So rather than knowing about the electrician labour charges per day, try to know what will the electrician charge for the work.
