How much is cost of living in Mumbai?
For bachelors the cost of living is approx
Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per month for rent but yes it depends on in which area you are living in.
Transportation expense from your house to office which you will need to check out yourself
Household cost approx Rs 5,000
Extra about Rs 5,000
Now if you are a fresher it is better to avoid living in Mumbai if your salary is less than Rs 40,000 or you need to struggle and live there.
What is the average cost of living in Mumbai?
To live in Mumbai a salary of minimum Rs 40,000 will be necessary or at least Rs 35,000. Monthly expenditure can go upto Rs 30,000 so in order to save some money for yourself you should ask for a hike from your company. Avoid living in South Mumbai or the salary you will need is minimum Rs 55,000
