Our house is exactly 800 sq ft and we reconstructed it last year. So, I can give you a rough estimation on how much material required for 800 sq ft house. Some of the important materials that you need for a house construction are cement bags, steel, sand, aggregate, bricks, mesh wires, concrete, and admixture. I have shared the details of everything below.

How Much Material is Required to Construct a 800 Sq Ft House?

Let me tell you what all materials we needed for our house and how much of them were required.

  • Cement Bags: We required 320 bags of 50 kg cement for our fully-furnished 800 sq ft house. So, building an average house requires 0.4 bags of cement per square feet, so the amount of bags of cement to build a 800 sq ft house will be 320 bags of cement.

  • Steel: On an average, 3.5 kg to 4 kg steel is required per square foot of house. So, building a 800 sq ft will require an estimate of 2800 kg to 3200 kg.

  • Aggregate: We required 1,080 cubic feet of aggregate for our house. On an average, a house needs 1.35 CFT of aggregate per square foot.

  • Bricks: A typical house needs 17 pieces of bricks per square foot. So, for 800 sq ft, you will need roughly around 13,600 pieces.

So, accumulating all these, you will need 320 bags of cement, 2800 kg to 3200 kg of steel, 1080 CFT aggregate, and 13,600 pieces of bricks for constructing an 800 square feet house.

I hope this gives you a rough idea on the materials required for your house.
