How To Add Name In Ration Card?

I am a resident of Mumbai. My family is benefitted from the ration card as we get grains at a low cost with the help of the ration card. However, we wanted to add the name of our son to the ration card. But we were perplexed, exactly how to add name in ration card online Maharashtra?

The ration card is issued in the name of the head of the family. It includes the names of other family members in addition to the head of the family’s name. 

For our family, the ration card is required to receive the advantages of subsidised food. The state government's Food Department distributes ration cards. Each family is given a different form of ration card depending on their financial situation.

Finally one of my friends told me that, there are two options for adding a new member's name to the ration card. This can be done using both online and offline methods.

We followed the online method which is as follows:

• To begin, we logged in to Maharashtra's ration card website,

• At first I signed up as I was not having any login credentials

• After which I was able to add my family names to the website, by completing it with accurate information, as wrong information may result in the application being rejected

• A birth certificate or residential evidence, are required to add an extra name to the ration card

• The website has a list of documents. From there, you can double-check and upload as needed

• After submitting the application, the system produced a reference number. You can use the number to check the progress of your application later

• After which, I received a new ration card in the mail within one month, with the names updated on it

This process is almost similar for each state. One of my sisters stays in Hyderabad, she also wanted to add her daughter’s name to the ration card. However, was confused as to how to add name in ration card online in Telangana? I briefed her on the entire process. The only difference for her was the fact that she had to visit the
