  • Cloth or paper towels

How to Adjust uPVC Window Hinges?

  1. Identify the Draughty Window: Open the window and identify the hinge that needs adjustment. Typically, the hinge that needs adjustment is the one that is closest to the area where the draft is coming from.

  2. Locate the Adjustment Screw: Look for a small screw near the hinge joint. This screw is designed to adjust the compression of the gasket, which seals the window when it is closed.

  3. Loosen the Adjustment Screw: Using the appropriate Allen wrench or screwdriver, carefully loosen the adjustment screw by turning it counterclockwise. Avoid over-tightening, as this can damage the hinge.
