I wasn’t really aware of this a couple of months ago but I was at a friend’s place last month and we were casually discussing how submitting a Leave and License agreement for registration is a hassle. In fact, in Maharashtra there are agencies helping out people with the whole process and these are called Authorized Service Providers or ASPs. I was curious to know how to become ASP for leave and license agreement. He explained the whole process in detail.
ASPs are responsible for providing doorstep service of e-Registration or assisting citizens via authorized e-Registration outlets.
To become ASP for leave and license agreement, the interested agencies have to submit an application to DIG office. They are also required to submit a few documents. If the application is accepted, the applicants have to make a security deposit of Rs. 10000.
ASP is also required to open a bank account with online banking services with a bank tied up with the Government Receipt Accounting System. This account will be used to make payments of stamp duty and registration fees on behalf of citizens if necessary.
