Building an underground house seems a little difficult in my opinion. There are many laws and regulations which are to be considered before starting the construction of any such structure. As far as I know the government rules do not allow the basement or underground spaces to be used for residential purposes. The building by-laws state that basement or underground space cannot be a part of FAR. This space can only be used as a storage, dark room, bank celler, parking space or a space to keep air conditioning equipment. So I am not sure how to make underground house. Since building an underground house is not possible in India as per the law you should perhaps know a little bit more about usage of basement or underground space.
