Beside focusing on the direction we need to focus on the formula to construct a house to see if the property we are living in is Vastu compliant. One of the popular terms related to Vastu is Aaya which is also known as 'Aayadham' which signifies income. The opposite of Aaya is 'Vyaya' which signifies loss or expenditure. Before showing you how to calculate aaya for house I want to let you know about the 8 types of Aaya that represent various directions. The eight types of Aaya are:

  1. Dhwaja- East

  2. Simha- South

  3. Dhumra- South East

  4. Svana- South West

  5. Kaka- North East

  6. Gaja- North

  7. Khara- North West

  8. Vrusha- West

Now, I will explain in simple words how to calculate the aya for house so that you can also calculate the aya while constructing your property.

Let’s understand the concept of Ayadi Vastu to learn more about Aaya. As far as I know there are six kinds of measurements you should be aware of to calculate aya as per Vastu. The six types of measurements are Aaya, Vyaya, Yoni, Raksha, Vara and Tithi. These things should be considered when we are thinking about gain or loss.

If it is a gain the structure is proportional and at the same time stable. The dimensions are also accurate. However, if there is a loss then the dimensions are not totally correct and some measures should be taken to get the correct results.

I will provide the accurate formula below to help you out:

  1. If you multiply the breadth of your property by 3 and divide by 8, the remainder you will get is Yoni.

  2. If you multiply the breadth of your property by 9 and divide it by 10, the remainder you will get is Vyaya.

  3. If you multiply the length of your property by 8 and divide by 27, the remainder you will get is Raksha.

  4. If you multiply the height of your property by 9 and divide by 7, the remainder you will get is Vara.

  5. If you multiply the length of your property by 9 and divide by 30, the remainder you will get is tithi.

  6. If you multiply the length of your property by 8 and divide by 12, the remainder you will get is Aya.

This is how the Aayadi formula works

By checking the length, breadth, and height of the building we can understand how the Aayadi formula works.

How to check the width?

By utilizing the Yoni and Vyaya formula you can check the width/breadth of the building. If the remainder you get is odd then you don't need to worry about it and if the remainder is even it is not a good sign.

How to check the length?

By utilizing the Aaya, Vyaya, and Raksha formula you check the length of the building or the rooms to check if everything is constructed as per Ayadi Vastu guidelines. Aya should always be greater than Vyaya for the well being of the family.

So, to check if the Aaya is greater than Vyaya we should always see if the length is 1.5 or at least 1.357 times greater than width. Therefore it is important to keep in mind the importance of aya calculation Vastu.

I hope you understand how to calculate aya for house.

Ayadi calculations are obscure mathematical procedures from Vastu Shastra that have been employed for centuries to build Hindu temples and residences. Knowing how to use them will allow you to identify the precise type of cosmic vibration that each object in your environment possesses. I read Amit's response to my question regarding the Aaya calculation for house. It was really effectively stated by him. Let's look more closely at the Aaya computation.

Formula for house Aaya calculation

Aayadi, a collection of six formulas, is employed to calculate a building's length, breadth, perimeter, area, and height. According to Vaastu Shastra, in order to achieve favourable results, you must closely adhere to the Aayadi formulas as given by Amit.

  • The length of the building and the size of the rooms are specified using the Aaya and Raksha formula.

  • The terms "Aaya" and "Vyaya" denote income and loss, respectively. The Aaya should always be higher than the Vyaya.

  • The Aayadi formulas have led to the conclusion that for a room or building to have an Aaya greater than a Vyaya, the length should ideally be 1.5 times the breadth or a minimum of 1.375 times the width.

  • This explains why sites are often rectangular in shape, with a length that is 1.375 to 1.5 times the breadth rather than square.

  • The building's width is determined using the Yoni and Vyaya formulas.

  • The Vara and Tithi formulas can be used to determine the building's height.

I hope you got an idea of how to find Aya for house.

The construction of Hindu temples and residences have long relied on the use of Ayadi calculations, which are highly secret mathematical methods of Vastu Shastra. You can use the Aaya calculation formula to determine the precise type of cosmic vibrations that are present in every object around you.

The length, breadth, perimeter, area, and height of a building are calculated using a series of six formulas known as Ayadi in vastu shastra. Vastu Shastra states that it's imperative to adhere completely to the Ayadi formulas.

Six formulas make up the Ayadi:

  • Aaya

  • Vyaya

  • Yoni

  • Raksha

  • Vara

  • Tithi.

Using these calculations, the remainder yielded decides whether there has been a gain or loss. If there is a gain, the construction is proportionate, stable, and has the appropriate dimensions. If it fails, it indicates that the dimensions are incorrect.

Vastu Aya calculation:

It is the remainder that results from multiplying the length by 8 and dividing it by 12.

Aaya is also known as Aadhayam. It means income and using the Vastu Shastra Aaya calculation it is concluded that Aaya is greater than Vyaya(loss or expenditure). If the Vyaya is more than Aaya then the residents will face financial crisis.

Aaya calculation in Vastu is used to fix both the length of the buildings and the rooms.

I’d like to conclude my answer here about the Aaya calculation formula. I hope this helps:)
