The following minimum charges will be collected based on pipe size diameter in case monthly tariff/consumption is less than minimum charges for commercial customers.

• ½”dia: Rs.300.00

• 2” dia and above:  Rs.6675.00

As someone who has lived in Hyderabad all my life. I know that Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board is responsible for supplying water in the entire city. The entire water supply system is controlled and operated by them. Each month households are required to pay the bill. You need to pay water charges in Hyderabad for the supply of water to be continued in your home. How is HMWSSB water bill calculation done?

I went to visit my friend in Hyderabad and unfortunately, he was having some issues regarding water bill payment. This is when I learned that Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is responsible for the supply of water in the city. I think people in Hyderabad used to pay GHMC water bill to GHMC, but now HMWSSB looks after the operation, construction, management, maintenance, planning, and design of the water supply system of the state.

The min. charges (depending upon pipe size diameter) given below will be collected in case monthly consumption/tariff as displayed above is less than min. charges for Domestic customers:

• ½” diameter (slum): Rs. 105.00

• ½” diameter: Rs. 150.00

• ¾” diameter: Rs. 418.00

• 1” diameter: Rs. 905.00

• 1 ½” diameter: Rs. 2120.00

• 2” diameter and above: Rs.4500.00
