I used to own a rattan armchair but I ruined it by getting stains on it. I used chemical bleach to get the stain out. The synthetic garden furniture did not react well to the chemicals. You should follow proper cleaning instructions to make sure you don't waste money on expensive items. These steps are especially helpful if you have toddlers.

 How to clean rattan dining chairs? Soap and Water :

You can clean the stain with warm soapy water. Tables and chairs made from high-quality synthetic, don't require additional products. Rinse the chair with a garden hose and wipe it with a clean cloth. 

Cleaning Spray :

If the furniture is made of low-quality synthetic, then the stain will be difficult to remove. Poor quality rattan or plastic is incredibly absorbent. You can use a furniture cleaning spray or paste to dissipate the stain. Let the solution sit on the stain for 5-10 minutes and then scrub it vigorously. 

Varnish :

You can coat your chair with Rattan back with specialised varnish. It will protect your chair from getting any deep-rooted stain. You can use any furniture varnish of your choice.
