"Keep the icon on a raised stage prior to playing out the mantras. Supplications and mantras are recited prior to introducing the symbol and whenever it is introduced. Once finished, put five blossoms on the feet of Ganesh ji followed by Padya Samarpan. Here, the Lord's feet are washed with blessed water. Then, at that point, the icon is offered water alongside a shower by panchamrita snaman. You can set up something similar by blending curd, honey, ghee and sugar. Ultimately, you can give the icon a shower with unadulterated water and deal new garments. Contributions like sindoor, naivedyam, chandan, durva, laurel are made. For the pooja vidhi, you can likewise call a pandit at home to recite the mantras and play out the sixteen customs of Ganesh Chaturthi's pooja. It is accepted that Lord Ganesha loved ladoos and modak — a sweet dumpling loaded up with jaggery and coconut produced using rice or wheat flour. Ganesh Chaturthi is one of my most favorite festivals. It is a 10-day celebration in which people install Lord Ganesha's clay idol in temples, homes, and pandals (temporarily made stages). Let me tell you how to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at home.

Ganesh Chaturthi – How to Celebrate at Home Get the idol of Lord Ganesha

If you have an idol or picture of Lord Ganesha in your puja room, then you can use that. Alternatively, you can make an idol yourself with the family members using turmeric or clay. You can also buy a new idol or image from the pandals and shops.

Set up the altar for Lord Ganesha

After that, you are required to make the seating arrangements for Lord Ganesha on the traditional puja altar or a raised platform. You can spread a beautiful cloth on the platform and place the idol at the puja altar. You can also draw rangoli in front of the altar and decorate the stage with lights, diyas, lamps, flower planters and so on.

Puja Ceremony

Light incense sticks as well as a lamp with coconut oil or gingelly oil and gather with the family members in front of the altar. You can also give a bath to the idol using coconut water, sandal paste, rose water, etc. and decorate it with clothing, sandal paste, garlands, flowers, and ornaments.

Chant some Lord Ganesha mantras, sing aartis, and offer flowers and prasad such as modak at the idol’s base. Then, seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha and distribute the prasad among the family members.

Ganesha Visarjan

The 10 days long celebration ends with the visarjan. On the last day, you can perform the final puja and bid farewell to Lord Ganesh. Here, a celebration with chanting and music is done. This day is concluded by chanting a prayer.
