Hey,
In case you didn't know, all ACs have a filter. Usually, they can be found at the bottom of an up-flow, vertical system and the top of a down-flow, vertical system. To make sure the air conditioner is maintained you need to clean or replace your AC filter. I have made a guide for my son, let me share it.

If the filter looks dingy, greyish-brown, you should install a fresh filter.

Push the filter in its place and ensure it's properly settled.

Tighten all screws and double-check them.

The process to change air filters depends on the model and type of air conditioner. Window AC follows a Horizontal HVAC system. Ideally, you should replace the filter every 90 days. Make sure you install the same filter that was replaced. Follow the steps given above.
Need for clean AC Filter :If the air filter is not cleaned, the AC will get poor airflow from the vents. The noise of the fan will also be increased. Moreover, there will be problems with the heating and cooling system
