You can easily change your address in the bank account by either visiting the branch or through net banking. The quickest way to do it is through online banking. Earlier, I used to visit the branch to change my address. But recently, my daughter taught me how to change the address in bank account via net banking. I have shared the steps below for your reference. 

How to Change Address in Bank Account Online?

I have an account at Axis Bank. So, if you’re an Axis Bank user, look at the following steps.

1. Log into your account through

   Axis Bank online portal

   or the mobile app using your credentials.

2. Click on the ‘Accounts Tab’ and select the option of ‘Address Change’ or ‘Update Address’ under the ‘Personal Information’ section. 

3. Then, you just need to enter your new address and other required information.

4. After that you have to upload relevant documents such as a scanned copy of a valid address proof. This may include your Aadhar card/passport/utility bills.

5. Then, confirm all the information once and click on the ‘submit’ option. You will receive a confirmation email or SMS, and the bank will process your request within a few days.

How to Change Bank Address in Kotak Mahindra Bank?

I have also shared below the process for Kotak Mahindra, as my daughter has an account with them. 

• Login to the

  Kotak Mahindra

  net banking portal.

• Click on the ‘Profile’ option and then click on ‘Update’ under the 'Communication Address’ tab.

• You can update your address by either using Aadhar Number and OTP or by uploading address proof. 

• You can also update your address by logging into the DigiLocker.

• SBI does not presently offer an online address changing service. You will only need to go to the nearest SBI branch to complete the necessary tasks.

• After verification, SBI will change your address.

How to change address in HDFC bank account?

• Log in to your HDFC Bank online banking account.

• Fill out the Consumer ID and Password fields.

• Then you have to select Update Contact Details from the top menu and select Address Transaction Update.

• Go over the list of papers that can be used to alter your address and scan the copies and select Continue.

• You will now be transported to a new page where you may add all of your documents and then click Upload.

• Within a day or two, your address information will be updated.

How to change address in ICICI bank account?

• Go to ICICI Bank's net banking portal

• Enter your user ID and password to access your account.

• Then you must select More from the drop-down menu under Service Requests.

• Choose a change of communication address request

• Select Submit and type in your new address.

• Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered phone number.

• If a bank requires additional verification, they may request your address proof.

• In 1-2 days, your address will be updated.

Documents required to change address:

You will need a certified copy of any of the following documents when changing your bank account's address. Any state or federal government document is accepted by the bank. Keep a self-attested copy of the original document as well, just to be safe.
