Steps to Change Address
- Delink Your Aadhaar Card:
- Visit the Seva Sindhu portal specifically designed for the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
- Look for the option to delink your Aadhaar card from your current address. This step is crucial as it allows you to remove your old address from the system.
- Register with New Address:
- After successfully delinking, you will need to register again with your new address.
- Go back to the Seva Sindhu portal and select the option to apply for the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
- Fill in the required details including:
- New Revenue Registration (RR) number
- Your Aadhaar number
- Other personal information as requested.
- Submit Your Application:
- Once you have filled out all necessary information, submit your application.
- You should receive an acknowledgment via email or SMS confirming your application.
- Check Application Status:
- You can track the status of your application through the same Seva Sindhu portal by selecting the 'Track Your Application Status' option and entering the required details.

Hi there. As of now, you need to first delink your Aadhar card, which is linked with the Gruh Jyoti Scheme, in order to change the address. This is because the current linkage will show the old address. There is no direct online process as of now. But, I can share how to change address in Gruha Jyothi Scheme online through the mixed process of offline disconnection, followed by online registration.
Process to Update Address in Gruha Jyothi Scheme
I also tried updating the address by re-registering for the Gruh Jyoti Scheme at the new address. But the portal showed I was already registered. So, I had to delink the Aadhar card. I am writing the method you can follow below:
Go to the Respective Subdivision Office and head to the Revenue Section there.
Meet the Assistant Accounts Officer there.
Apply for disconnection by mentioning your Aadhar card number along with the linked RR number.
After this, the earlier connection will be delinked and you can then register for a new connection with the new address.
This is the method you will have to use in order to update your address in the Gruh Jyoti Scheme.
