What is the Process to
Change Authorised Signatory in
GST Portal?
Go to the official GST portal (
www.gst.gov.in
) and log in using your Username and Password.
Under the dashboard, go to ‘Services’ then ‘Registration’ then select ‘Amendment of Registration Non Core Fields’.
In the amendment section, click on the ‘Authorized Signatory’ tab. This will display the list of existing authorized signatories.
Click on ‘Add New’ to input the new authorized signatory’s details, including name, designation, and contact details. You will need to upload supporting documents such as the letter of appointment or board resolution.
To change the primary signatory, check the box ‘Primary Authorized Signatory’ next to the new signatory’s name. You may also need to remove the existing one by clicking ‘Delete’ if applicable.
After verifying the details, click on ‘Submit’ and verify the change using your Electronic Verification Code (EVC) or Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).
Once the changes are approved, a confirmation will be sent to you via email or SMS, and the new signatory will be updated in the system. I hope this helps you with how to change authorized signatory in GST
