• If you change your mobile number and email ID following your bank details, you will receive the OTP on the relevant primary mobile number and primary email IDs that you specified on the e-Filing website.

• You won't be asked to verify your phone number if you update your mobile number and email address following Aadhaar and make no other changes, but you will need to verify your email address.

• If you are only changing address details (as per PAN/Aadhaar), no OTP authentication is required. Once the address has been properly updated, an email will be sent to the primary email address you have on file with the e-Filing website.

• The OTP will be sent to the primary email address on file if you are a non-resident and have an overseas phone number.
