I recently bought a new property and the previous owner asked to change the property tax name as soon as possible. I wasn’t aware of how to change property tax name in AP, so I asked the property owner about it. He told me that the process is very simple. To start the process, he asked me to the Municipal Corporation Office in the area and request an application form for a property tax name change.
What is the Process of Property Tax Name Change in AP?
After obtaining the form, he asked me to fill it out properly by providing the relevant details. After that, I had to follow the below steps.
He suggested that I attach documents such as the Sale Deed, Identity Proof, Address Proof, Property Tax Payment Receipt, etc documents with the form and submit it.
The form should be submitted to the concerned municipal official.
There might be some required fees and I should pay them accordingly.
And that’s about it. According to him, the process might take a few days as the municipal corporation will verify them. Once the verification is done, the property tax records will be changed to my name. Hope this helps.
