Procedure: Name Change in Property Tax GHMC
You need to submit the relevant documents to the concerned Deputy Commissioner/CSC for Transfer of title/Mutation, which got registered before 01-06-2016.
You are required to pay a mutation fee (0.1% of Market Value) through DD in favour of the GHMC Commissioner.
After that, the concerned Tax Inspector will visit your premises before changing the name. He will verify whether the existing property tax is as per the benchmark rate or not. If there’s any under-assessment, the property tax will be revised according to the rules.
The Deputy Commissioner will approve the mutation, subject to all property tax payment dues.
Mutation Proceedings will be served to you after that.

House Tax Name Change Online Process: 01-06-2016 Onwards
During the property registration, you need to remit a mutation fee @0.1% through DD in favour of the GHMC Commissioner to the concerned Sub-Registrar. The mutation process will start by the concerned Deputy Commissioner based on the details received online from the Registration Department web service.
The Registration Department will collect all the required info for mutation and share it with the concerned GHMC circle office through web services.
The concerned GHMC official will start the title transfer process and will share the e-file with the Deputy Commissioner for digital approval.
After his approval, the approved copy of the order will be available on the website of the concerned circle of GHMC.
After that, you can log in to the online portal and check the mutation status.
The above process takes around 30 days to complete.
