To change an old survey number to a new survey number, you can follow these steps:
View A-Register Extract:
Visit the eServices - Taluk Offices website for land records.
If your old survey number is in the format “24/2A,” enter “24” in the Survey Number field and “2A” in the Sub Division Number field. Click “Submit.”
If your old survey number is just “24,” enter “24” in the Survey Number field and leave the Sub Division Number blank (use “-”). Click “Submit”.
Create a New Survey Record:
You can copy and edit existing survey records to populate the new survey with relevant data.
Segregation and Abstract Numbers:
When any part of a survey is segregated or passes into other ownership, a new abstract number is given to that part.
The original survey number continues to be the abstract number for what remains of the original survey after a part has been segregated.
Remember that a land survey number is unique to a specific land piece, so assigning a new survey number to the same piece of land that already has one may not be possible. It’s essential to follow the official procedures and consult local authorities for accurate guidance.
