How to Check Cheque Status?

Usually, if you issue a cheque to a person, it will take two to three days for the bank to clear and deposit it into the receiver’s account. You will get an SMS on your registered mobile number when the cheque is cleared. I will share with you tips on how to check cheque status. 

You can follow the process given below on the SBI Internet Banking facility website or application. You can see if the cheque is paid or pending.

• SBI Cheque Enquiry Online through YONO

• Log in with your credentials in the SBI YONO app. 

• On the homepage, click on the ‘request services’ button. 

• Then, click on the ‘Enquire’ tab, followed by the ‘cheque status’ button.

• Select the account for which you wish to verify the cheque status. 

• If you wish to check the status of a single cheque, then choose the ‘ single cheque For multiple cheques, choose the ‘cheque range option’. 

• Click on enter or ‘enquire’.

• The cheque status will be displayed on the page.

   

You can check if your HDFC cheque has been cleared or not through SMS. 

• You will need to register for HDFC Banking by sending an SMS. Once that is done, you can follow the next step.

• You will need to send “CST<6 digit cheque number>” for Cheque Status Enquiry to 99223300004. 

• The bank will share the cheque status via SMS right away.

How to check cheque status in YONO SBI?

Process of checking the cheque status using the Yono Sbi app

1. The first thing that you need to do is go to the play store or the app store and download the official mobile banking app of SBI known as the YONO SBI app

2. After you install the YONO SBI app you will have to log in to the app using your account details

3. After logging in, click on the ‘service request’ and then click on ‘cheques’

4. Now you will have to click on the ‘inquiry’ button from the ‘Chequebook services’ menu available on the app

5. Now choose your bank account number from the drop-down menu that will be shown

6. After you choose your account number you will have to choose the type of cheque that you have issued. It can be a normal check or a multicity cheque.

7. Now you will have to enter the cheque number and then click on the ‘next’ button

8. After this, you will have to follow the onscreen instructions in order to check the current status of your issued cheque.
